Process Overview for Creating a Turnaround
The process of creating a Turnaround is a three step process. The below is a decision logic diagram to give an overview of the process.
Step 1 - Create an Owner/User
The first step is to create an Owner/User under the Administrator Tile. To create an Owner/User, follow the steps at Owner/User Management.
Once the Owner/User is created, you will want to assign the users who need access to the Owner/User. The steps to add the users to the Owner/User are found here.
NOTE: If the Owner/User is created, there is no need to create a new Owner/User. The system is designed to create one Owner/User and further assign Equipment and Turnarounds to the Owner/User. This process is shown in the above diagram.
Step 2 - Create the Equipment associated with the Owner/User
The second step is to create the Equipment under the Administrator Tile. The Equipment will be associated with an Owner/User defined in Step 1. To create the Equipment, follow the steps at Equipment Management.
NOTE: If the Equipment is already created, there is no need to create the Equipment again. The system is designed to manage a single instance of the Equipment and assign the Equipment to multiple Turnarounds. This process is shown in the above diagram.
Step 3 - Create the Turnaround associated with the Owner/User
The third and final step is to create the Turnaround under the Administrator Tile. The Turnaround will be associated with an Owner/User on creation. Additionally, in the Turnaround setup, there is the ability to associated Equipment to the Turnaround.
To create the Turnaround, follow the steps at Add a Turnaround.
The final step is to provide the details of the Turnaround. This includes:
- Creating the Activity Types and Component Groups within Picklists.
- Assigning the Equipment from the Equipment List.
- Uploading the Activities
- Uploading the Equipment Scope
- Assigning users.
The steps for providing these additional details and context to the turnaround are found here.
At anytime during this process, you can add users to the Turnaround. A dependency step for this is to ensure they are assigned to the Owner user first. To see details of adding a user to the Turnaround, tap here.
